A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

At GH, Lucas (Van Hansis) pulled Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) aside and said he needed her help with something “Brad’s been blackmailing someone here at the hospital.” Portia (Brooke Kerr) showed Ava (Maura West) her file on Drew (Cameron Mathison). Nina (Cynthia Watros) rushed to close the safe. But Drew caught her leaving. Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) asked Alexis (Nancy Grahan) to take care of Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez). Charlotte came to the PCPD and asked Anna (Finola Hughes) to let her see her papa. Jason (Steve Burton) told Carly (Laura Wright) it was hard on him because she almost died. Jack (Chris L.McKena) watched as Josslyn (Eden McCoy) took a lie detector test. Drew told Nina there’s nothing in his safe that he was hiding from her. He accused Nina of wanting him for herself. As head nurse, Elizabeth told Lucas he needed her to tell him what was going on. Ava urged Portia not to let fear and desperation make her do something to compound her mistake. Jason told Carly “You’re in over your head with a guy you barely know and you almost died,” urging her to get out. Jack asked Agent Vaughn (Bryce Durfee) how it was going. He said excellent and left. Once they were alone, Jack told Josslyn the questioning was conditioning to see whether she had the ability to maintain her composure while lying through her teeth. Valentin told Alexis he pointed the Cassadine lawyers in Greece in Ava’s direction and wanted Alexis to be trustee of the estate in order to use the funds to take care of his daughter. Lulu (Alexa Havins) arrived at the PCPD. Anna told Lulu that Charlotte was upstairs in her office and asked her to consider letting Charlotte say goodbye to her father. Jack told Josslyn that Carly was in the hospital from polonium poisoning. When she asked whether she could go see her, Jack told Josslyn it wasn’t a prison and she could leave. But warned if she left, she wouldn’t be coming back. Carly reminded Jason what he is warning about Jack and his dangerous world is the same warnings she got about Sonny (Maurice Benard) and what Sam (Kelly Monaco) got about him. Nina demanded to know how Drew was going to keep her daughter from losing her children. “Mom, what are you doing?” Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) asked. Alexis told Valentin she couldn’t get access to the estate even as trustee but assured Charlotte would have everything she needed. She praised him for doing the right thing by having Charlotte brought home. Alexis left the PCPD and saw Lulu. Lucas told Elizabeth that Brad (Parry Shen) was blackmailing Portia and was doing it to worm his way into his life. “And did he?” Elizabeth asked Lucas. “You need an ally. Someone as interested in Drew’s downfall as you” Ava told Portia. Willow told Nina she knew she was there to convince Drew not to let her move in with him. Lulu told Alexis she owed her gratitude. Anna told Valentin that Charlotte was there and she was trying to get Lulu to allow Charlotte to come see him. Carly asked Jason to allow her to make her own choices, adding if she were wrong she knew he’d have her back. Jack showed Josslyn live feed from Carly’s hospital room. He told her how Valentin Cassadine poisoned a bottle of champagne and Carly drank a glass while he was in the shower. “Do you care about my mother…or are you using her?” Josslyn asked Jack. “Does it matter?” Jack answered. Jack warned if Josslyn told Carly, Ms. Jax would never be an agent. “If you’re using my mother, she will find out…she’s not stupid” Josslyn said. “No she’s not” Jack said then left for his flight back to Port Charles. Anna asked Valentin why he allowed the WSB to pull him back in. Nina apologized to Drew and Willow and said they’d have to figure it out themselves. Elizabeth remembered Rick (Rick Hearst) meeting with Elizabeth. Nina entered Portia’s office at GH. Ava assured Nina she wasn’t sick. She told them they both had their reasons for needing leverage against Drew and if they combined their intellect, Ava was certain they would figure something out. Willow asked Drew to be honest with her and tell her whether she could lose her children if she moved in with him. Jason told Carly he disagreed with her and she’d do what she wanted. Vaughn flipped a distracted Josslyn and told her she needed to control her anger. After Alexis reminded her that we don’t always get to say goodbye to those we loved, Lulu allowed Charlotte to see Valentin. But their goodbye was interrupted by Jack, who said “Valentin…your chariot awaits.” Drew told Willow that Michael (Chad Duell) is a good man who loved his kids and there was room for compromise. He promised she wouldn’t lose her kids. “This hold that Drew has on us won’t end until we end it. So, I’m in” Portia told Nina. “We are professionally obligated to figure out what it is,” Elizabeth told Lucas. Vaughn told Josslyn that with that tamper of hers, her blood pressure is probably off the chart. Jason promised Carly that if she gets hurt because of him (Jack), he gets hurt. “And if you happen to die because of him, I’ll kill him,” Jason warned. Jack allowed Valentin to say goodbye to Charlotte. “Until next time” Valentin said before he was led away.

Tuesday

“I’m not going. Sorry to disappoint” Josslyn (Eden McCoy) said, then kicked Vaughn (Bryce Durfee) to the floor. Carly (Laura Wright) told Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) how everyone was trying to talk her away from Jack (Chris L. McKenna). “What if the people who want him dead decide to use Charlotte as leverage…how do I protect my daughter?” Lulu (Alexa Havins) asked Jack. At Deception, Tracy (Jane Eliott) asked Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) what’s up with her mother when she learned Lois (Rena Sofer) took off for Bensonhurst for a few days. Gio (Giovanni Mazza) told Ned (Wally Kurth) he and Emma (Braedyn Bruner) figured out a way to protect the family crypt. Lucas (Van Hansis) told Ava (Maura West) even if Julian (William DeVry) left him an inheritance, he wouldn’t touch that money. Kristina (Kate Mansi) told Sonny (Maurice Benard) she heard something that could help them with Ava. “She is desperate and she is overextended” Kristina told Sonny, saying now was the time to fight for custody of Avery (Ava and Grace Scarola). “I need to pay off my debts if I’m able to support my daughter” Ava told Lucas, who assured Sonny would always take care of his daughter. Carly told Elizabeth she would scream if one more person told her how to live her life. Then, Carly left GH. Jack assured Lulu that Valentin made the fatal mistake of having a child. Vaughn checked Josslyn’s ankle. After Maxie (Kirsten Storms) left the office, Tracy asked Brook Lynn what she and her mother fought about. Brook Lynn told Tracy she and her mother had a disagreement but didn’t want to talk about it. Gio and Brook Lynn suggested to Ned that they give back the same amount of land to the city. But Ned said he may have a different way of handling it. Rick (Rick Hearst) arrived at GH and Elizabeth pulled him aside and said she’d been really worried about Portia because she’s been distracted lately. Rick told Elizabeth that Portia hired him. “How much trouble is she in?” Elizabeth asked Rick. Maxie arrived at GH and asked Lucas about the medical conference. He told her how he spent most of his time with Brad (Parry Shen) until Brad ruined it but there was a bright spot. Maxie’s interest was piqued. Kristina offered to play a board game with Donna. Lulu told Brook Lynn she was quitting because of Chase’s (Josh Swikward) visit to her last night where he threatened her to keep her (Brook Lynn) secret so now she was forced not to tell Rocco (Finn Carter) he had a half brother and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) a son. Wally told Tracy he’d stay out of it unless Brook Lynn asked him. Vaughn wrapped Josslyn’s ankle. Carly warned Jack that Jason (Steve Burton) vowed whatever happened to her, happened to him. Jack told Carly how he was fine with the lonely life of an agent until he made her and needed her. Sonny offered Ava the money and said he wanted to revisit their custody agreement. “I was thinking you could have Avery two weekends a month,” Sonny told Ava. “Over my dead body” Ava said. Rick asked Elizabeth whether she could access administrative records as he needed hard copies of any patients records accessed by Portia. He told Elizabeth this legal situation was bad enough to ruin her life. Emma suggested to Gio they get someone from the Quartermaine family to back them up. Ned suggested to Tracy a way to get Drew (Cameron Mathison) to leave the Quartermaine crypt alone: They could threatened to tell Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) about Drew’s involvement with her mother. Vaughn told Josslyn he couldn’t tell her how he became an agent. Carly told Jack she wasn’t leaving because she wanted to see where things went for them. Ava refused to sell Avery to Sonny for money. During their argument, Sonny gripped his chest. “Sonny, what is happening?” Ava asked. Tracy told Ned she thought that little piece of information was better used as leverage against Nina (Cynthia Watros). “I have the perfect candidate,” Gio told Emma. Brook Lynn accused Lulu of being really mad that Dante lied to her about them sleeping together when they were teenagers. “After everything you’ve done for me, it’s the least I can do” Elizabeth told Rick, then walked away. “Either you text him or I will,” Maxie told Lucas. Vaughn suggested they call it a day. “See you tomorrow Jax,” Vaughn said before leaving the room. Jack told Carly he just had to make sure nothing ever happened to her. Sonny’s medication fell out of his pocket. “Do you need these?” Ava asked as she stood above him.

Wednesday

Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) called Lulu (Alexa Havins) threatened and resentful because Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) kept a secret from her. But Lulu countered saying Brook Lynn was forcing her to keep her secret. Laura (Genie Francis) and Jordan (Tanisha Harper) talked about Drew (Cameron Mathison). When he found Curtis (Donnell Turner) having tea with Stella (Vernee Watson) and Tracy (Jane Eliott) in the solarium, Drew accused Curtis of teaming up with Tracy. “Why didn’t you help him?” Kristina (kate Mansi) demanded when she saw her dad on the floor and Ava (Maura West) just standing there and not handing him his pills. Lulu told Brook Lynn she went to Martin’s (Michael E. Knight) room to find out information about her daughter and didn’t want to know her secret. Gio (Giovanni Mazza) and Emma (Braedyn Bruner) interrupted Lulu and Brook Lynn’s fight. “Brook Lynn’s a lot of things. But one thing she’s not…my boss” Lulu said, then walked out of the office. Kristina gave Sonny a pill and ordered Ava to leave. Kristina wanted to call an ambulance. But Sonny told her to call Dr. Gannon (Sawandi Wilson). Ezra (Daniel Cosgrove) joined Laura and Jordan at their table and accused Laura’s friendship with Sonny for delaying the project. Gio told Brook Lynn they were there to give Tracy something she wanted. Drew was annoyed that he was referred to as Drew Cain in the article about the pediatric sports center. Drew angrily told Curtis if he wanted to get ugly, he could get ugly too. After Drew left, Stella toasted to the beginning of a beautiful friendship. Laura assured she had nothing to hide then left to return to the office. Ezra was glad to have a chance to speak with the deputy mayor alone. But Jordan said he might reconsider when he heard what she had to say. Isaiah asked Sonny how he was feeling now. Cody (Josh Kelly) found Lulu in the Quartermaine boat house beating on a floaty toy James loved. Lulu commented maybe Brook Lynn was right and she was as horrible as she thought she was. Curtis left the solarium. Tracy asked Stella whether she and her sister were close and commented that she wished she and her brother Alan (Stuart Damon) had been close. Lulu reminded Cody that something had come from Dante and Brook Lynn’s relationship all those years ago. After Kristina left for Charlie’s, Isaiah insisted he was making the appointment with the cardiologist in LA for Sonny to have the surgery. Ezra told Jordan she could be the next mayor of Port Charles. Ava met with Rick at the restaurant and told him about Sonny’s collapse. “There’s something wrong with Sonny,” Ava told Rick. Brook Lynn liked what Gio and Emma were proposing. When she learned they went to Ned (Wally Kurth) with it first, Brook Lynn said her father could only see the financials. “Someone comes for your family,” Stella said. “You fight back twice as hard,” Tracy added. Jordan came to Curtis’ office at Aurora and praised him for the article on the pediatric sports initiative. Drew met with Ezra and told him he wanted the Quartermaine crypt torn down today. Lulu told Cody that she realized she and Dante hadn’t been as honest with each other as she thought. Isaiah told Sonny he owed it to himself to get that surgery as soon as he could. As Isaiah was leaving, Laura arrived. “I have a heart condition and I’m going to have to have surgery” Sonny told Laura. “Walk away while you still can,” Brook Lynn urged Gio and Emma. Cody told Lulu it’s hard when you learn everything you thought wasn’t true. “Brook Lynn lied too and now I’m the one who’s going to have to live with her lies” Lulu told Cody. Kristina put flowers on her baby’s grave and said “By not helping him she was killing him like she killed you.” Ava told Rick what happened with Sonny and added “Something’s wrong with your brother.” Sonny told Laura he’s going to have surgery to repair his heart in a couple of weeks. He told Laura what happened with Ava. Gio and Emma told Brook Lynn they couldn’t walk away from this. Brook Lynn said she would talk to her dad. Gio and Emma left as Brook Lynn took a call. Emma told Gio since the house belonged to Monica (Leslie Charleson), she was the one they should be talking with. Cody told Lulu she could vent to him anytime. Stella and Tracy talked about screening for kidney disease. “Watch out for unintended consequences,” Jordan warned. But Curtis said Drew should watch out for him. Drew told Ezra he wanted the crypt raised to the ground tomorrow. Ava told Rick if Sonny died, Avery’s (Ava and Grace Scarola) inheritance would be enough to pay her debts and keep Avery living in the style in which she was accustomed. Laura promised to keep Sonny’s secret. Kristina told her baby that Ava was a threat to everyone she loved. “I have to stop her. Ava has to be stopped and I have to stop her” Kristina said.

Thursday

Diane (Carolyn Henessy) found Alexis (Nancy Grahan) on the floor of Miller & Davis. Alexis explained she was trying medication. Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) entered Charlie’s and found Lucky (Jonathan Jackson) setting up dinner for them. “Hungry?” Lucky asked. Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) and Jordan (Tanisha Harper) returned to her apartment after a five mile jog. Lucas (Van Hansis) told Stella (Vernee Watson) he was looking forward to spending time with her when she arrived for her appointment. Nina (Cynthia Watros) thanked Ava (Maura West) for putting her in touch with Portia (Brooke Kerr). Kristina was surprised when Molly (Kristen Vagnos) showed up. At GH, Felicia (Kristina Wagner) asked Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) whether she reconsidered adding her baby’s father’s medical information to her file. Sonny (Maurice Benard) told Jason (Steve Burton) about Ava withholding his medication. Brick (Stephen A. Smith) interrupted their conversation. “I got a lead on the man who almost burned Michael to death,” Brick said. Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) told Chase (Josh Swickward) that Lulu (Alexa Havins) quit yesterday because of him. Jordan told Isaiah that Councilman Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) approached her about distancing herself from Laura (Genie Francis). Jordan said the worst thing was she agreed with him about Laura’s relationship with Sonny. Brick told Jason and Sonny that Zelinsky was in Toronto. “I want my sister back,” Molly told Kristina. Sasha told Felicia she still didn’t want her baby’s father involved. Elizabeth enjoys the chicken parm. Lucky said he got it from Lorenzo’s in New York. “What do you say? Let me take you back to New York” Lucky asked. Lucas praised Stella for taking charge of her health. “I’m starting to realize that Laura will never see Sonny for the civic danger that he is,” Jordan told Diane. Alexis told Diane she was going to suck it up and reach a truce with Rick (Rick Hearst) for Molly’s sake. She asked Diane to stick around a referee. Diane asked whether she had time to make popcorn. Molly asked Kristina to just tell her if she thought they couldn’t get back to the way they were. Ava told Nina she was starting to see Sonny in a new light. “Coming after me is dangerous,” Sonny told Brick as they talked about Zelinsky. Elizabeth and Lucky reimscent about their time in New York when they were teenagers. Chase was angry how Lulu always needed to pass on information regardless whether it was any of her business. “Brook Lynn I will do whatever it takes to keep you and your secret safe” Chase vowed. Felicia assured Sasha she wouldn’t be raising her baby alone if the Scorpios had anything to say with it. Molly and Kristina made up. Ava arrived with Avery (Ava and Grace Scarola). Jordan told Isaiah if she were running City Hall, she’d be a mayor who finally stood up to Sonny. Brick worried about Sonny because he was having surgery in a few weeks. Sonny promised he’d have his surgery. After Brick left, Sonny told Jason “I’m going with you.” Elizabeth told Lucky she wanted to go to New York but this time, neither of them would be sleeping on the floor. Kristina asked Molly to take Avery to the playroom. Once they were alone, Ava told Kristina that if Sonny wasn’t well enough to take care of their daughter, she could convince a judge she should do it full time. Rick apologized to Alexis and they shook hands on their ceasefire. Stella told Lucas knowledge is power. Felicia urged Sasha to talk with Jason to make sure they were on the same page. Jason told Sonny it wasn’t a good idea for him to go to Toronto to track down a killer. Lucas and Stella continued their kidney health discussion. Brook Lynn told Chase she’s sorry this has been so hard for him. Chase told Brook Lynn he had to get used to it, adding he never expected to meet someone like her. Molly came to Miller & Davis and was surprised to see her father was there. After Diane and Rick left, Alexis told Molly that Rick was the bigger person and called a truce after his conversation with Cody (Josh Kelly). Brick came to Jordan’s apartment with flowers and a dinner invitation. She told him she already had plans. “I can see that,” Brick said, noticing Isaiah. Jason and Sonny agreed they needed to know who their real enemy was…the person who hired Zelinski. Brick promised to keep that Jordan and Isaiah were seeing each other a secret. But he added he heard some questionable things about his family and hoped he had no part in that. After Brick left, Jordan assured she didn’t have Brick look into him because she trusts him to tell him what she needed to know. Alexis was happy when Molly told her she and Kristina really talked and she was hoping they could do a Davis’ girls night. Rick told Ava he and Alexis made peace. Kristina pounded on Ava’s door. Sasha left a voicemail for Jason. “I’m not going to let him or anyone else come after my family again” Sonny vowed.

Friday

Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) met Maxie (Kirsten Storms) at Haven’s and showed her the sonogram. Tracy (Jane Eliott) told Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) she hoped Monica (Leslie Chrleson) didn’t find out what Drew (Cameron Mathison) was trying to do with the Quartermaine crypt. Drew said Kai (Jens Austin Astrup) would go far. Trina (Tabayana Ali) questioned City Councilman Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) about the demolition crew being outside the Quartermaine crypt. When Gio (Giovanni Mazza) and Emma (Braedyn Bruner) appeared, Ezra handed Gio the court order and said “You’ve been served.” Lulu (Alexa Havins) came to Charlie’s and spent time with Lucky (Jonathan Jackson). Ava (Maura West) asked Rick (Rick Hearst) to hide out of sight in case she needed a witness then let Kristina (Kate Mansi) in. Jason (Steve Burton) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) were on board a flight to Toronto. “Whatever hired Zelinski is responsible for Michael’s pain…I’m gonna make them pay,” Sonny told Jason. Sasha assured Maxie she had enough to take care of the baby. Tracy told Elizabeth that Drew didn’t deserve the Quartermaine name. Drew asked Kai whether he would play football again if he could do it safely. Gio told Ezra he was a guest and Emma reminded he had to serve the court order to Monica as the owner of the house. Rick listened while Kristina confronted Ava about wanting to take her first to court again over Avery’s (Ava and Grace Scarola) custody. Lucky told Lulu about taking Elizabeth to New York for the weekend and asked whether Aiden could stay with her at their mother’s. Lulu asked whether Lucky was sure about taking Elizabeth to New York. Uri called Tracy and told her she needed to come home because a man served official papers. The local sheriff wasn’t comfortable with serving the court order to a domestic employee. Emma told Gio and Trina to stall and walked away. Trina recorded on her cellphone Ezra talking about tearing down the crypt. Gio asked whether unearthing human remains was a public health hazard. Ava told Kristina she wouldn’t understand how she’d do anything to protect her daughter because Kristina wasn’t a mother. Lulu told Lucky by taking Elizabeth to New York, he was risking tarnishing a cherished memory. Sonny told Jason he doesn’t know what he’ll do when he comes face-to-face with the man who nearly burned Michael to death. “You would pay for my surgery? Why, you don’t even know me” Kai said, asking Drew whether he wanted something. “Before you make up your mind about me, you need to hear my side of the story,” Drew told Kai. Emma chained herself to the Quartermaine crypt and said “You’ll tear down this building over my dead body.” “I don’t want you to feel you can’t do business with Sidwell because of me” Sasha told Maxie. Lucky told Lulu he wanted a future with Elizabeth. Kristina vowed Ava wouldn’t take her father from her. “I will stop you” Kristina said then left the apartment. Rick came out and Ava said “You just heard Kristina blatantly threaten me.” Zelinski returned home to find Sonny sitting on an easy chair pointing a gun at him. “Mr. Zelinski..have a good workout?” Ezra ordered the local sheriff to cut Emma loose. Tracy appeared with Uri and threatened to call the officer’s badge number into her good friend Judge Lyman. Emma told Gio she needed him to call her grandmother. Kai asked Drew what would happen if he paid for the surgery and he still couldn’t play football. “All you have to do is tell me who hired you,” Sonny told Zelinski. Lucky told Lulu once she figured out what she wanted, there’s no stopping her. Elizabeth called Rick and told him she had the information he needed and offered to bring it over to Ava’s. Meanwhile, Ava reminded Rick he broke attorney client privilege by telling Elizabeth some about Portia’s (Brooke Kerr) case. Kristina looked at the car in Ava’s parking space, unaware it was Rick’s, not Ava’s. Tracy chained herself to Emma. Elizabeth brought over the papers. Rick offered to give her a ride. Kristina returned to Charlie’s and told Lucky “I made a mistake. But I can fix it.” Then, she left Charlie’s. Zelinski told Sonny he didn’t know who hired him and was paid in untraceable crypto currency. He tried to run out but found himself facing Jason and his gun. “Stop wasting my time…time me who hired you!” Sonny demanded. “I respect Mr. Ashford, but I make my own decisions” Kai told Drew, who urged him to look into the surgery sooner rather than later. Maxie told Sasha she gave her a lot to think about. Anna (Finola Hughes) arrived and asked for the bolt cutters, saying she was following the law. Sonny told Zeliniski if he gave him the name of who hired him, at least he stood the chance to disappear. Kristina called Ava, but Ava let it go straight to voicemail. Rick drove Elizabeth home but realized the breaks weren’t working. Then, they crashed.
