A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

Josslyn (Eden McCoy) found Emma (Braedyn Bruner) in a dumpster covered in trash. Maxie (Kirsten Storms) asked Anna (Finola Hughes) to tell them (she and Brook Lynn) how bad Sidwell (Carlos Rota) was. Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) admitted to Jason (Steve Burton) her stash of money came from Sidwell. Jenz questioned Natalia (Eva LaRue) about Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) heart condition. Lucas (Van Hansis) and Marco (Adrian Anchondo) talked. Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) told Jordan (Tanisha Harper) he didn’t want them to be over as he was looking forward to seeing where they could go. Alexis (Nancy Grahan) hung up with Jenz when he called to discuss Marco’s employment. Sonny told Carly (Laura Wright) she couldn’t come with him to LA when he had his surgery. “You know you can’t do that right?” Jordan told Isaiah she was in a unique position to bring Sidwell down. Marco told Lucas how he reached out to his father when he was in high school after he and his mother had a falling out because she didn’t want an openly gay son. “Did you know who I was and that I lived in Port Charles when you offered to buy me that drink in Miami?” Lucas asked Marco. Josslyn helped Emma out of the dumpster. Carly suggested a cover story that they were looking for doctors to help with Michael’s (Chad Duell) recovery. “But whatever you do, do not trust Sidwell?” Anna warned Maxie and Brook Lynn. She left as Lucy (Lynn Herring) entered. Maxie and Brook Lynn told her in unison that Jason told them Natalia was Sidwell’s ex-wife. Sasha explained to Jason her reasons for accepting money from Sidwell. Isaiah told Jordan goodbye when she said she was doing what she needed to do. Jenz barged himself into Miller & Davis and tried to convince Alexis that Marco was her most qualified candidate. Lucy, Maxie and Brook Lynn discussed their options for continuing to do business with Sidwell. “Then that brings us to our CFO, what are we going to do about Natalia?” Maxie asked. Carly told Sonny she was worried about Natalia knowing as much as she does. Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) asked Sonny to come to Deception right away “We need to talk about Natalia.” Emma accused Josslyn of always getting what she wanted. Jordan told Anna she and Isaiah decided not to see each other anymore. Carly asked Jason why he didn’t tell her about Sonny’s condition, asking whether he didn’t trust her this time because of Jack (Chris L. McKenna). Marco told Lucas he was just intrigued by the cute boy who found his credit card. He told Lucas he didn’t have any knowledge of his father doing anything illegal. Natalia arrived at Maxie’s office at Deception and tried to explain her reasons for not telling them Jenz Sidwell was her ex-husband. Emma and Josslyn admitted they’d always been envious of each other. Lucas and Marco laughed at sharing this much information so soon. Jordan told Anna that Laura (Genie Francis) was in on her plan to work for Sidwell. Jason assured Carly he didn’t tell her about Sonny’s heart condition because he wanted her to have a life separate from Sonny. Alexis told Jenz she could see he loved his son, adding his feelings had no bearing on the firm’s hiring decision. After Sonny arrived, Maxie told Natalia they were terminating her contract immediately and could not continue with her as Deception’s CFO. Anna smiled that she and Laura will finally have a better man on the inside. Natalia tried to appeal to Sonny for his help. But when he said he accepted their decision, Natalia angrily asked Sonny where his loyalty was. Natalia then left Maxie’s office. Lucas thanked Marco for being honest with him. Marco received a call from Natalia. And Lucas left for the consult he had. Carly told Jason it was her choice to go to LA with Sonny. Jason said he was glad Sonny told her and that she was going because Sonny was going to need more help then he cared to admit. Josslyn told Emma now that she was in the Environmental Physics class she was going to work her ass off. Anna told Jordan she worried that her focus on Sidwell was going to cost her (Jordan), coming that Sidwell had a lot of powerful connections for someone who hadn’t been in town that long. “You Ms. Davis are a very hard woman to impress. But Marco, he can rise to the challenge as can I” Jenz told Alexis before leaving Miller & Davis. “We have to assume that Natalia told Sidwell everything” Jason told Carly. Natalia told Marco that his dad just blew her life to hell. “And Sonny, he just fired me like I was nothing.” “What happens now, we deal with it,” Sonny told Brook Lynn.

Tuesday

Ava (Maura West) came to visit Rick (Rick Hearst) at GH. “Wow…look at you” Rick said. “I’m back baby…Ava Jerome is back” Ava said. Diane (Carolyn Henessy) told Alexis (Nancy Grahan) they needed to revisit having Kristina (Kate Mansi) committed. Kristina came to the Webber house to check on Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) and told Lucky (Jonathan Jackson) “The guilt is eating me up alive.” Trina (Tabyana Ali) told Curtis (Donnell Turner) her fear something could go wrong with the surgery and Kai (Jens Austin Astrup) could end up not being able to walk. Kai told Drew (Cameron Mathison) he’s decided to take him up on his offer and have the surgery. Nina (Cynthia Watros) came to see Carly (Laura Wright) and told her a real estate friend of hers told her Drew was looking for properties in DC. Nina said Carly’s antics the other day may have pushed Drew and Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) closer together. Carly commented she was beginning to think that’s what Nina wanted. Willow thanked Jason (Steve Burton) for responding to his text and agreeing to see her. She said she needed his help. Willow asked Jason to talk to Carly. “Please Jason I am begging you…please tell her not to take my kids away from me.” Carly asked Nina whether her plan’s been all along to swoop in and be the comforting mother. “Are you done?” Nina asked Carly. Trina told Curtis she felt like Kai was making a huge mistake. Kai told Drew he was changing his life and giving him hope. Alexis told Diane the best option was to leave it alone and pray the truth stays buried. Diane said there was only one problem “Rick.” Meanwhile, Rick questioned the expensive gifts Ava was buying for herself. She told him she hadn’t forgotten about him. Ava gave Rick an expensive limited edition watch to replace his old one that was damaged in the crash. But Rick told her it all had to go back. Nina assured Carly she could trust her and that she wanted Drew and Willow’s relationship to be over. Nina told Carly she was with her until she brought up Nelle (Chloe Lanier) because she refused to let Nelle be weaponized. “That’s fair” Carly agreed, vowing to get Wiley and Amelia out of that house. “I’m not the one who can get you out of this. I’m not your last chance…you are” Jason told Willow. “I can’t move on from this. The only way I can free myself is to confess” Kristina told Lucky. Rick urged Ava to be smart about her blackmail windfall and fly under the radar. He suggested setting up an offshore account where the blackmail money could be deposited instead of her personal account. Rick said Ava could then say the galleries were doing well to explain anything expensive she brought. Ava closed the blinds of Rick’s hospital room and said him talking financials was a turn on for her. “Blackmail is mine,” Rick said. Alexis urged Diane to shred the commitment papers. But after her law partner left the firm, Diane put them in a folder instead. Portia (Brooke Kerr) was given Dr. Mahinder’s surgical request and remembered he was the surgeon Drew suggested for Kai. Drew suggested Kai have a documentary made about his surgery journey. Kai told Drew he was in. “The way I see it. You got one choice: Stand by Kai’s side no matter the outcome” Curtis told Trina. Kristina told Lucky that confessing would cost her relationship with Molly (Kristen Vaganos). Kristina asked Lucky what was more selfish: Keeping the secret and protecting herself? Or confessing and destroying her family? Nina told Carly if she went to court to fight for custody, she and Michael (Chad Duell) would lose the kids together. Jason suggested Willow go to Germany and see Michael. “You need to face him and end this war once and for all,” Jason told Willow. Lucky told Kristina she needed to let this go. Alexis came to check in on Rick. Portia came to Drew’s house and told him she won’t let him mess with Kai’s life. Portia asked Drew how he was going to feel if Kai was left in a wheelchair for the rest of his life. “Carly, are we in agreement with our plan going forward?” Nina asked. “We are,” Carly answered. Nina said she’d keep her in the loop going forward then left. Carly called someone and said she needed to see them. Rick told Alexis she wouldn’t be there if she didn’t know that her lunatic daughter tried to kill Ava but almost killed him and Elizabeth instead. Diane asked Carly why she needed her. “Michael’s custody case” Carly told Diane. Jason told Willow that she and Michael had to see each other face-to-face and get on the same page. Alexis realized Rick was in on the blackmail scheme. Rick admitted he was and told Alexis she could end this by turning Kristina in. Rick said the money was nice but a better gift was for Molly to see Kristina for who she really was and get her out of her life once and for all. Kai met Trina in the park. Drew commented he didn’t know why he was still keeping Portia’s secret as she wasn’t helping him with Curtis. There was a knock on the door and Drew opened it. It was Curtis who was surprised to see Portia there. Drew told Curtis and Portia that the surgery was happening and they would have to just pray for a miracle for Kai’s sake. After they left, Curtis told Portia that even if Kai’s surgery is a success, he wouldn’t be able to put this with Drew behind him. Kristina thanked Lucky and assured she was going to do better and let go of her vendetta against Ava. “Please don’t expose Kristina” Alexis begged. Rick told Alexis the fact that she had to embezzle from a child to meet the blackmail demands was the gift that kept giving. Jason told Willow she had to make the first step. Carly told Diane she wanted to get a date on the books for the hearing. “I want Drew, Willow and Nina to think this date was far off in the future. Then I want the truth to blind sight them” Carly told Diane.

Wednesday

Laura (Genie Francis) came over to see her daughter’s new house, but told Lulu (Alexa Havins) she couldn’t help her unpack. Lulu said she was okay. Dante (Dominica Zamprogna) came out of the other room. Councilman Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) approached Tracy (Jane Eliott) at The Metro Court, commenting he was hoping they could let bygones be bygones. Tracy ordered Ezra to sit down. She told him she liked his position on getting rid of Sonny Cornithos (Maurice Bernard). Nina (Cynthia Watros) met with Portia (Brooke Kerr) at The Metro Court and told her they had to stop Drew (Cameron Mathison) before he cost her daughter her children. Carly (Laura Wright) told Jason (Steve Burton) she figured out a way to keep the kids from Willow (Kateyn MacMullen). Drew told Willow his lawyers will ensure Carly doesn’t get her hands on the kids if something happened to Willow or Michael (Chad Duell). “Can you stop them?” Willow asked. “Are you willing to put your money where your mouth is?” Ezra asked Tracy as she continued talking about getting rid of Sonny. Dante left the room to access the panel to fix the garbage disposal. Before leaving, Laura reminded Lulu her home will always be Lulu’s home too. Lulu found a gift bag with a vase from her Super Monster (Tracy). “Looks like you’re back on your feet” Dante said. Chase (Josh Swickward) and Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) told Lois (Rena Sofer) they decided on adoption. Then Brook Lynn said “We wanna use the same agency that placed my baby.” When Carly told Jason she asked Diane (Carolyn Henessy) to proceed with the custody hearing, he said “We don’t even know what Michael wants.” Willow told Drew she didn’t think it was the time to take extreme action. “Before this goes any further, there’s still one person that I need to face…my husband” Willow told Drew. Ned (Wally Kurth) walked in as Brook Lynn asked Lois the name of the adoption agency. Portia told Nina the surest way to drive Drew and Willow apart is to tell her the truth. “Willow is going to Germany to see Michael.” Willow told Drew why she decided to go to Germany to see Michael. “I spoke with the one person who knows Michael better than anyone. I talked to Jason.” Ezra thanked Tracy for her check. But told her they couldn’t count on the referendum going their way because of Sonny’s friends. “Like our mayor” Ezra said when he saw Laura getting off the elevator. After Ezra left, Tracy assured Laura she didn’t trust him, adding “He’s lonesome. But I think you need to listen to him.” “I’ve been looking for a new job to go with the new place” Lulu told Dante. She told him how she’s pitching herself as a freelance journalist and reached out to some of her old contacts at The Invader as well as the Managing Editor of The Llanview Banner. Dante told Lulu he felt Rocco (Finn Carter) could use his mom right about now. “Michael’s in no condition to figure out things with Willow” Carly said. “Why not?” Jason asked. “Because he’s still in love with her,” Carly answered. Drew told Willow he was in favor of anything that could bring their family peace. Nina told Portia they were just going to have to set a trap of their own for Drew. Tracy told Laura she understood their positions on Sonny conflicted. Nina and Portia noticed Ezra with a young, attractive woman. Ned was supportive of Chase and Brook Lynn’s adoption decision. Lois spoke with her mother on the phone and asked what she was supposed to tell Brook Lynn who was asking the name of the agency they used for her (Brook Lynn) child’s adoption. Lulu and Dante drank out of old glasses they got from their first trip to Disneyland with Rocco. Laura told Tracy her belief Jenz Sidwell (Carlos Rota) wants to take Sonny’s place in Port Charles. Jason told Carly that Michael may be the only one to make Willow see she’s making the wrong choices. Willow didn’t want Drew to come to Germany with her. Nina interrupted Ezra with the attractive young woman and gave the woman her business card. But when she returned to their table, Nina told Portia “That woman’s no model.” Tracy told Laura she needed to distance herself from Sonny. Lois told Chase and Brook Lynn the name of the adoption agency was St. Ignatius but they closed down fifteen years ago. Carly told Jason she wasn’t calling off Diane. Drew and Willow made love. Nina told Portia she recognized the woman from security footage when she was owner of The Metro Court. “I had to have her removed for applying her trade.” “She’s an escort?” Portia said. “And we have a job for her,”Nina said.

Thursday

Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) brought Cody (Josh Kelly) into GH’s ER when he sustained a horse injury. When Lucas (Van Hansis) came over to her new house, Lulu (Alexa Havins) said she wanted to interview him for The Llanview Banner and asked “How does it feel to be adopted?” Molly (Kristen Vaganos) took Rick (Rick Hearst) on a walk using his walker around GH. Danny and Jason (Steve Burton) were at the batting cage. Diane (Carolyn Henessy) and Alexis (Nancy Grahan) met with Marco (Adrian Anchondo) again at Miller & Davis. Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) came to Carly’s house where Kristina (Kate Mansi) was looking after Donna. Brick (Stephen A. Smith) and Carly (Laura Wright) were with Sonny (Maurice Benard) at the hospital in LA as he prepared for his procedure. Dante thanked Kristina for looking after Donna while their dad was in LA. Sonny told Carly how Brick found the surgeon. Danny commented to Jason how he felt about not living with Scout and Rocco (Finn Carter) anymore. Molly told Rick it worried her that Ava (Maura West) was the person showing up for him. Alexis told Marco that would need some assurance before they proceeded with the adoption. Brook Lynn put an ice pack on Cody’s ribs. Lucas told Lulu that adoption is the greatest gift you could give. “What was it like when your biological father came into your life as an adult?” Lulu asked Lucas. Jason told Danny he could talk with him about how he was feeling about missing his mom. “Whatever you need…I’m here” Jason said. Lucas told Lulu that not being raised by Julian (William deVry) and his flaws helped him to accept him as his father. “I’m glad my biological father came into my life” Lucas said in answer to Lulu’s question about whether he regretted knowing his biological father. Brook Lynn again thanked Cody for helping her all those years ago when she was a teenager. Before leaving to check security, Brick told Sonny to do what the lady (Carly) says. Dante told Kristina she was super lovable. Donna ran into the room and told Sonny that Kristina was the best. Alexis welcomed Marco to the firm then left the office to meet with Kristina. Diane gave Marco some case files. When he found the commitment papers, Marco asked Diane “Are you sure you want me working on this?” Molly told her father she wanted him to think about his involvement with Ava. Diane took the commitment papers away from Marco and told him it was a matter he wouldn’t be handling and reminded him of discretion. Donna took Kristina’s phone and made a video call to her father. Kristina told her little sister she shouldn’t be taking people’s phones. Sonny told Donna he was at the doctor’s office for a checkup. Donna worried he’d need a shot. Carly thanked Kristina. Lucas returned to GH and treated Cody. Rocco told Lulu being with her was exactly where he wanted to be. The doctor explained the heart procedure to Sonny and Carly. Kristina suggested she and Donna make a Get Well Card for dad. Diane came to GH to see Rick to tell him that Sonny wanted to take Avery (Ava and Grace Scarola) to the island this summer so she was there to give him and Ava advance notice. When she dropped her briefcase, Molly helped Diane pick up the papers then left her dad’s hospital room. Dante returned to Lulu’s house to pick up Rocco for their trip to the batting cage. Lucas told Brook Lynn about his interview with Lulu for her piece on adoption. Danny thanked Jason for always being there for him. Molly was surprised to see Cody at GH. He told her he got kicked by a horse (The same horse he took her on a ride on). Molly decided to do some work and wait with Cody while he waited for an x-ray. “And for God’s sake, truce or not. Give Alexis a break” Diane told Rick. Kristina told Alexis she was staying with Donna while Carly and Sonny were in LA. Carly emotionally told Sonny not to give up and fight. The surgical nurse entered to prep Sonny for the OR. Brick returned to keep Carly company. When Sonny went under anesthesia, he thought about moments with his kids. Marco came to GH and told Lucas they hired him at Miller & Davis. Dante and Jason commented on how Sam (Kelly Monaco) would love to see how much like brothers Danny and Rocco were. Brook Lynn came over Lulu’s house and asked what she was trying to pull. After Diane left his hospital room, Rick commented that Alexis told her. Alexis assured Kristina that good things were ahead for her. Molly found the commitment papers in her briefcase.

Friday

At The Metro Court, Jenz (Carlos Rota) thanked Jordan (Tanisha Harper) for sitting in on his meeting with Congressman Cain (Cameron Mathison). “According to this document, my mom wants to have Kristina committed, ” Molly (Kristen Vagnos) told Cody (Josh Kelly). Kristina (Kate Mansi) and Donna worked on a Get Well card for their dad. Alexis (Nancy Grahan) asked Marco (Adrian Anchondo) about a deal his father already had in progress. Brick (Stephen A. Smith) assured Carly (Laura Wright) security for Sonny (Maurice Benard) was in place. Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) barged in and told Lulu (Alexa Havins) “What I want Lulu is for you to stop using my baby to torture me.” Brook Lynn told Lulu she could tell Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) the truth if it meant so much to her but Lulu better be prepared for the fallout. Nina (Cynthia Watros) wished Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) luck when she talked with Michael (Chad Duell). After Nina hung up, Portia (Brooke Kerr) asked her about hiring a prostitute to help with their Drew problem. Drew joined Jenz and Jordan at The Metro Court. Jordan told Drew her job was a fresh start and she’d hope for a fresh start between them. Alexis discussed Jenz’s contract with Deception with Marco. Molly couldn’t believe her mother planned to have Kristina involuntarily committed. “Having you here makes it easier,” Carly told Brick, who asked her about Michael. “Apparently Michael’s cheating wife is on her way to Germany to see him,” Carly told Brick. Willow introduced herself to the receptionist at the clinic and said “I’m here to see my husband.” Nina told Portia her plan: Portia makes something to knock Drew out and their prostitute slips into bed with him just in time for Willow to come home and see them. Portia understood how the plan benefits Nina but asked how it helped her. Dante walked in on Lulu and Brook Lynn and asked “What’s going on here?” Marco apologized to Alexis for all the trouble his mother caused Kristina. Ava (Maura West) entered “Thank you for helping me…you’re the best sister ever” Donna told Kristina. Cody and Molly entered. Molly lied that she ran into Cody at GH and he told her how he was teaching James how to tie knots and she thought Donna might want to know too. After Cody and Donna left the room, Molly showed Kristina the commitment papers. “I don’t get it…why would mom do this to me?” Kristina asked Molly. After Marco left the room, Ava told Alexis she needed to make a change to their payment agreement. Nina told Portia that once his relationship was over with Willow, he’d take Scout and move to Washington permanently and Portia wouldn’t be of any use to him. But if that didn’t work, they could arrange for some incriminating photos to be taken. Brick told Carly maybe Michael seeing Willow was a good thing. But Willow was told “You’re husband doesn’t want to see you.” Brook Lynn told Dante that Lulu was writing an article on adoption and it hit close to home. Ava asked for $150,000 to be transferred into her account. But Alexis warned if Ava didn’t take a smaller amount, they’d both go down. Kristina thanked Molly for bringing the papers to her. Drew assured Jordan “If anyone attacks Mayor Collins, it’s going to be Councilman Boyle,” Drew told Jordan. Drew, Jenz and Jordan toast to Sonny losing the piers. Willow was told her husband made it clear he didn’t want to see her. When the doctor came out, Carly asked “Is Sonny okay?” Brook Lynn told Dante that she and Chase (Josh Swickward) were thinking about adoption and she felt Lulu’s article would give her an excuse to get in her business. After Brook Lynn left, Dante asked whether there was any truth in what Brook Lynn said. After Jordan left, Drew and Jenz agreed Sonny Cornithos was a thorn in both their sides. Nina and Portia told the sex worker the job they had for her didn’t involve a threesome or singular with them but it did involve pictures. The doctor told Brick and Carly that Sonny came through the surgery without complications. Ava reminde Alexis she was the one calling the shots. Molly offered to go with Kristina when she talked with their mother about the commitment papers. The sex worker demanded $6,000 to do their job. After speaking to Willow who told her Michael refused to see her, Nina told the sex worker “We have a deal.” The receptionist called Drew and told him she did what he said and told Mrs. Corinthos her husband didn’t want to see her. Molly and Kristina entered Miller & Davis. Kristina asked “Mommy Dearest” to explain the commitment papers. Carly called Jason (Steve Burton) and told him about the success of Sonny’s surgery and that he would be okay. A woman dressed in hospital scrubs entered Sonny’s room, turned off the monitor and prepared to inject something into his IV with a syringe when Sonny awoke.
