A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

Jordan (Tanisha Harper) came to Lulu’s house to speak with Laura (Genie Francis). “Laura…I think you are in big trouble” Jordan told Laura. “Why are you defending him?” Curtis (Donnell Turner) asked Portia (Brooke Kerr). “Because I have to,” Portia answered. Tracy (Jane Eliott) accused Lulu (Alexa Havins) about tormenting Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) with the knowledge she had a baby as a teenager that she gave up for adoption. Anna (Finola) and Chase (Josh Swickward) discussed their tango performance at the Nurses Ball with Maxie (Kirsten Storms) and Brook Lynn when Gio (Giovanni Mazza) entered saying he had a rough night last night. Professor Dalton (Daniel Goddard) told Emma (Braedyn Bruner) she didn’t get the summer research position. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) came to The Metro Court and sat down at a table with her mother, who wanted to catch up. “First I gotta ask you…what’s going on with you and Sonny?” Josslyn asked Carly. Sonny (Maurice Benard) told Jason (Steve Burton) that Sidwell (Carlos Rota) was their only chance to walk away from the business. Gio told them what happened with Rocco (Finn Carter). Brook Lynn apologized to Maxie for asking her to choose sides between her and Lulu. Professor Dalton showed Emma her data model. “This isn’t my work…something’s wrong here” Emma said. Carly told Josslyn that Sonny had heart surgery. Jack (Chris L. McKenna) appearance interrupted their conversation. Jordan told Laura that Tracy isn’t supporting her because of Sonny and may be backing Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) for mayor. Jordan said Sidwell may be the only person who could help Laura. Jason told Sonny that although he wanted out of the business as much as he did, he couldn’t fight the feeling Sidwell’s offer could be a trap. Portia told Curtis she’s worried Drew (Cameron Mathison) could bring a lawsuit against him. “This has the potential to backfire in a big, big way,” Portia told Curtis. Tracy told Lulu how she couldn’t understand how she couldn’t understand because she’s been in Brook Lynn’s place and was adding to her burden. Maxie told Brook Lynn she couldn’t choose between her and Lulu. Professor Dalton assured Emma she was still his top student. Josslyn got a text from Professor Dalton and told her mother and Jack it may be about the research position she applied for. Jason told Sonny that Sidwell was ruthless and if they did this they’d be essentially handing him the key to the city and putting targets on their backs. Lulu assured Tracy that she’s not adding to Brook Lynn’s burden or judging her. Tracy said she didn’t understand why she thought she should involve herself in something that happened over twenty years ago. Tracy asked Lulu how’d she feel if Brook Lynn found out about a secret she had and wrote a song about it, suggesting Lulu kill her adoption article. Brook Lynn cried to Gio she didn’t get the research position. When Professor Dalton told her she got the research position, Josslyn thanked him for the opportunity and said she’s sure she will learn a lot. Portia asked Curtis to do this for him. “What does this have to do with you?” Curtis asked Portia. Laura told Jordan if she had to choose between Sonny Cornithos and Jenz Sidwell, “I’d choose Sonny any day of the week.” Sonny told Jason they’ll have to sell the business to the highest bidder. “Which is why I need to sell to Sidwell. There’s just one piece of information I need to know first” Sonny told Jason. Gio suggested Emma show Professor Dalton the original version of her data model because it meant so much to her. Gio told Anna that Emma had to go back to school. “Before you do anything, I’m afraid there’s one condition and it’s a deal breaker,” Professor Dalton told Josslyn. Jack told Carly he helped Brick (Stephen A. Smith) and Sonny for her. Laura thanked Jordan for telling her about Sidwell’s offer and urged her to be careful. Sonny told Jason before he accepted Sidwell’s offer, he needed to know whether he was the one responsible for the fire bomb at his penthouse and the attempt on his life in LA. Jason told Sonny he was on it. Portia told Curtis his coverage of Drew affects her personally because Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) is her employee and could affect the hospital. Curtis told Portia she may be right. When his editor called, Curtis said they’ll hold off on the Congressman Cain article…for now. Professor Dalton told Josslyn she’d need to sign an NDA. Lulu agreed to kill her adoption article for Tracy, commenting she went full blow Step Monster today. Gio played his violin for Anna and Chase’s tango practice. “You Carly Spencer are everything” Jack told Carly. Lulu interrupted and told Carly she needed to talk to her in private. Portia left a message for Drew that she spoke with Curtis. “I think you’re going to get what you want.” Jordan met Curtis at the Brown Dog Bar. Curtis told Jordan “I think my wife is lying to me.” Jason met Tracy at The Metro Court. Tracy told Jason she needed him to find her great grandson. Chase asked Gio to play his violin so he could dance the tango with his wife. When Carly came over to her house, Lulu told her she needed to find Dante’s son. Emma was shocked to find Josslyn in Professor Dalton’s office and he said he worked there. “It would save my problems and it would solve your problems” Sonny told Laura.

Tuesday

Maxie (Kirsten Storms), Anna (Finola Hughes) and Felicia (Kristina Wagner) awaited their fearless leader so they could rehearse their dance number for the Nurses Ball. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) told Emma (Braedyn Bruner) she was Professor Dalton’s summer research assistant. “I can’t believe it. You stole my job” Emma said. Trina (Tabayana Ali) asked Portia (Brooke Kerr) whether it was a bad time. Jordan (Tanisha Harper) told Curtis (Donnell Turner) she couldn’t help him with his wife. Sonny (Maurice Benard) told Laura (Genie Francis) sometime you had to make a deal with the devil. “I’m telling you if you do this…you’re making a huge mistake” Carly (Laura Wright) told Lulu (Alexa Havins). “When Brook Lynn was a teenager, she had a baby boy that she gave up for adoption. I need you to find him” Tracy (Jane Eliott) told Jason (Steve Burton). Emma told Josslyn she stabbed her in the back by taking the job. Jenz (Carlos Rota) arrived and told Lucy (Lynn Herring) because he was underwriting this whole production, he wanted to make sure things run smoothly. “So Brook Lynn wants you to find her son? If she does, I should be having this conversation with her” Jason told Tracy. Sonny told Laura he was a burden to her politically. Laura realized if Sonny was willing to sell his property it could only mean one thing: “You’re planning your exit strategy.” Lulu told Carly she thinks Dante (Dominc Zamprogna) has been interacting with his son and didn’t even know it. Carly asked who she thought Dante’s son was. “It’s Gio,” Lulu answered. Curtis told Jordan her background as an agent will come in handy if his suspicions about Portia prove to be right. Portia told Trina how she convinced Curtis not to do coverage on Drew (Cameron Mathison). Emma accused Josslyn of getting her daddy to get her the job and angrily said she was right about Josslyn. Lulu told Carly she would agree with her that Gio was Dante’s son if she saw what she saw last night. Laura told Sonny she was worried about Sidwell’s plans for Port Charles. Anna asked for a break so she could speak with her granddaughter. Jenz told Lucy he had an ulterior motive for underwriting the Nurses Ball. Josslyn locked Professor Dalton’s (Daniel Goddard) office door, put on gloves and began investigating. She was startled when someone turned the doorknob. Curtis told Jordan that Portia was acting like she did when she lied about Trina. Tracy told Jason her great grandson had the right to be raised and Quartermaine and know his family.“This is none of my business. I’m not getting involved” Jason told Tracy. Lulu told Carly if Gio was Dante’s son she had to tell him. Emma told Anna that Josslyn sabotaged her. Vaughn (Bryce Durfee) opened the door and told Josslyn he figured she could use help from maintenance. “Even if you’re right, you have to let this go. It’s not your secret to tell” Carly told Lulu. Tracy told Jason she’d be willing to support Sonny in keeping his piers if Jason helped her because she believed her great grandson had the right to know he was a Quartermaine. Lucy told Jenz she wanted the people of Port Charles to see the person he really was. Laura told Sonny she fully supports him if he thinks it’s time for him to walk away. Portia told Trina she didn’t want Curtis or Aurora to be open to a lawsuit by posting the editorial. She told Portia she wanted their family to find some middle ground with Drew. Curtis told Jordan he hated to think what sort of leverage Drew had on Portia. Vaughn copied all of Professor Dalton’s files from his computer and he and Josslyn told photos on their phones of the paper documents in the file cabinet. Although Emma wanted to go to Professor Dalton, Anna told Emma she should let this go. “I’m not sure what I should do. But I’ll let you know” Sonny told Laura. Tracy told Jason with his refusal, he sealed Sonny’s fate…she wouldn’t stop until she ran Sonny out of time. Lulu told Carly she thinks Lois came to Sonny for help with Gio’s education because Gio is his grandson. “You better be right…or this will blow up in your face” Carly told Lulu. Portia told Trina she made her pitch and thought Curtis was listening. Jordan told Curtis to talk with Portia and try to hear her out. Vaughn and Josslyn realize what Professor Dalton is working on must be in his lab. “I need proof and I know just where to find it” Lulu told Carly. Before Jenz leaves, Tracy tells him she’s doubling down on her efforts to rid Port Charles of Sonny. Tracy joined rehearsal. Sonny told Jason that Laura said he needed to take care of his family. “And that’s exactly what I’m going to do,” Sonny told Jason.

Wednesday

Kai (Jens Austin Astrup) was making progress. “Isn’t that the job Emma wanted?” Trina (Tabyana Ali) asked when Josslyn (Edem McCoy) told her she got a job as Professor Dalton’s (Daniel Goddard) summer research assistant. Nina (Cynthia Watros) asked Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) whether it was okay she was there. “What did you do with Jucinda?” Ezra (Daniel Cosgrove) asked Drew (Cameron Mathison). Lulu (Alexa Havins) asked Lucky (Jonathan Jackson) how things were going with him and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). Rick (Rick Hearst) was surprised when Elizabeth answered the door. “Are you here alone? I thought Lucky was supposed to be taking care of you.” Kristina (Kate Mansi) came to Lulu’s house and had coffee with Dante (Dominic Zamprogna). When Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) came to Miller & Davis, Alexis (Nancy Grahan) said “I have a job for you.” Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) came to Carly’s (Laura Wright) house and told her they had a problem of her own making. Lucky told Lulu and Laura (Genie Francis) things were going well living at Elizabeth. Lulu told Laura she decided to put the adoption article on hold. Ezra told Drew that Willow’s mother came up to him and Jucinda there at The Metro Court Bar. Willow told Nina she was standing by Drew. Diane told Carly and Jason (Steve Burton) the court set Willow and Michael’s (Chad Duell) divorce hearing for June 2. “What I’m asking you to do could save Kristina’s life,” Alexis told Spinelli. Kristina told Dante her mother was trying to have her committed. Elizabeth was surprised when she looked out her door and saw Rick bought a porsche. She remembered right before their accident he said something was wrong with the brakes. Kai wanted Stella (Vernee Watson) to help him get released from the hospital so he could be there for Trina at the Nurses Ball like she was for him. Trina told Josslyn she got the job fair and square. Carly told Jason she had to get those kids out of that house. A process server arrived and served Willow. She told Nina that Michael was proceeding with the divorce and demanding full custody. Rick told Elizabeth black ice prohibited him from slowing down the day of the accident. Alexis asked Spinelli to find Rick’s car. Drew came home. Willow showed him the petition and he commented Michael was as vindictive as the rest of his family. Diane told Carly if she asked for a postponement, it would help Willow’s case as it could be said if Michael wasn’t well enough to come to court, he wouldn’t be well enough to take care of the children. Stella told Kai he wouldn’t be walking the Red Carpet with Trina at the Nurses Ball. Rick met with Drew, Nina and Willow at Drew’s house. After getting the facts of the case, Rick told them he wouldn’t have taken it if he didn’t think they could win. Carly told Diane and Jason she would fight for custody of the kids on Michael’s behalf. Stella told Kai she spoke with his doctor and he said Kai still needed to be monitored. Plan B: If he couldn’t be discharged today, was there a chance he could be discharged in time for the Nurses Ball. “Anything’s possible,” Stella told Kai. Trina told Josslyn she had to be there for Kai. Since the impound lot had Rick’s car listed as destroyed, Alexis asked Spinelli to search for any towing trucks that could have removed Rick’s car within three or four days after the accident. Elizabeth told Lucky about Rick remembering hitting black ice before their accident. “Does Rick remember anything else?” Lucky asked. Ezra interrupted Lulu and Laura and made snide remarks about Laura’s friendship with Sonny (Maurice Benard). Diane suggested an emergency petition based on Drew’s ketamine escapades to get the kids removed from his house. Willow gave consent for Rick to move forward and all the case notes from Martin’s (Michael E. Knight) office. He told them if there was anything they could use against Michael, he’d find it but they would need to ask for a postponement. Drew said they wouldn’t need one because he knew how to help Willow get full custody of her kids. Laura threw a glass of water on Ezra when he taunted her about her grandson’s alcohol poisoning. When she talked about the damage to Rick’s car, Dante asked “How did you see Rick’s car?” Spinelli found that Ava opened an account with Port Charles Towing. “Did you say the insurance company took Rick’s car?” Lucky asked Elizabeth. Diane told Carly that the kids could be placed with their other grandmother Willow. “That’s a risk I’m willing to take,” Carly said. Drew’s strategy is to paint Michael as an absentee father who abandoned his kids.

Thursday

Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) told Chase (Josh Swickward) “Today is my son’s brother.” Lois watched Gio (Giovanni Mazza) rehearse playing his violin for the Nurses Ball. Sonny (Maurice Benard) entered with Donna. Gio played Twinkle Twinkle Little Star for Donna. Cody (Josh Kelly) questioned Lulu (Alexa Havins) about giving up the adoption story when he heard the end of her phone call. Kristina (Kate Mansi) lied to Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) she was on her way to work and saw Rick’s car after the accident. Rick came to Miller & Davis and taunted Alexis (Nancy Grahan). “The thing was totalled. Why do you care so much about what happened with Rick’s car?” Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) asked Lucky (Jonathan Jackson). Gio played the waltz from Sleeping Beauty for Donna. Chase thought it was only natural she’d be thinking about her son. “I would give anything to meet my son,” Brook Lynn told Chase. Lulu told Cody the phone call was about tying up loose ends. Cody told Lulu he keeps catching her in lies and half truths, adding it wasn’t cool she was looking into Chase and Brook Lynn’s lives. Lulu told him she was looking into an adoption agency from back in the day. “Brook Lynn gave birth to Dante’s son and gave him up for adoption” Lulu said. Lucas (Van Hansis) arrived at the Webber house with flowers for Elizabeth. Lucky left. Alexis urged Rick to get out before they are caught and sent to prison for embezzlement. She reminded Molly (Kristen Vaganos) wouldn’t like her father blackmailing her mother. Rick told Alexis even if he did consider her proposal, who’s to say Ava (Maura West) would. “You leave Ava to me” Alexis told Rick. “Don’t come crying to me when she drags you to Hell” Alexis told Rick, then ordered him out. Elizabeth assured Lucas he didn’t interrupt anything between her and Lucky. Chase told Brook Lynn she is a good mom because she puts her son’s needs ahead of her own. “Thank you for being the best husband on the planet,” Brook Lynn told Chase before leaving for rehearsal. Lulu told Cody about breaking into Martin’s (Michael E. Knight) hotel room and finding his notes about Brook Lynn’s son. Sonny had to pull Donna away from Gio because she had rehearsal. “Happy Birthday Gio” Lois (Rena Sofer) whispered as she left the room. Kristina left for rehearsal when Rocco (Finn Carter) came home. Dante wanted to talk with him about the night of his alcohol poisoning. Chase commented Lois came over because today was Brook Lynn’s son’s birthday. Cody offered to help Lulu because he believed Dante should know he had a son out there. Rocco told Dante that Gio did nothing wrong. But Gio told Sonny that Rocco’s alcohol poisoning was his fault. Alexis showed the court order signed by a judge to gain access to Ava’s storage facility. But when she got there, she found it empty and a note with her name. Lucky entered. Chase praised Lois for the way she handled it and making Brook Lynn feel safe and loved. “It’s gotta be brutal keeping it from Dante” Lois said. Rocco told Dante not to be mad at Danny and Gio because he was the one drinking. But Dante said Gio was an adult. Sonny told Gio he appreciated what he did for his grandson, adding if Gio were ever in a jam, he wanted to be the first person he called. Elizabeth told Lucas there was never a time when she wasn’t in love with Lucky. Alexis asked Lucy why he was looking for Rick’s car. Lucky answered because the brake line was cut and they both know who cut them. “Kristina,” Lucky said. “Whatever you need me to do, I’m in” Cody told Lulu, who was relieved someone had her back. Lulu received a call back to her inquiry and told Cody that St. Ignatius closed its door in 1987 so there’s no way Brook Lynn couldn’t have placed her baby there. Kristina and Brook Lynn arrived for rehearsal. Elizabeth told Lucas that what she wanted in a relationship, Lucky couldn’t give because he wasn’t made for a settled down life. She commented on how Sonny calls Lucky cowboy which is true because Lucky’s always riding off into the sunset towards his next adventure. Lucky told Alexis he’s known since the night of the car crash that Kristina was responsible. He explained how he found the storage facility and asked why Rick would lie that the insurance company had his car. Elizabeth told Lucas how she felt Lucky would try to be honest with her. Alexis showed Lucky the crumbled note and told him that Ava and Rick were blackmailing her by threatening to tell Molly and send Kristina to prison for attempted murder. Dante told Rocco he didn’t know what he would have done if he’d lost his only child. Gio played his guitar for Kristina and Brook Lynn. Lulu told Cody that Gio Palmieri is Dante’s son.

Friday

Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) approached Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) as he rehearsed for the Nurses Ball. She told him she needed a distraction from her marriage.Nina (Cynthia Watrod) questioned Curtis (Donnell Turner) about Aurora’s coverage. Ava (Maura West) came to Dr. Robinson’s office and questioned Portia (Brooke Kerr) about the Drew (Cameron Mathison) situation. Drew reminded Tracy (Jane Eliott) they were working together to take Sonny (Maurice Benard) down. Sonny brought Donna home. Cody (Josh Swickward) asked Lulu (Amanda Setton) about Gio (Giovanni Mazza) being Brook Lynn’s (Amanda Setton) son when he entered with Brook Lynn. Gio apologized to Lulu for what happened with Rocco (Finn Carter). “Mother son coffee day” Lulu commented to Cody after Gio offered to treat Brook Lynn to some coffee. After Donna left the room, Carly (Laura Wright) told Sonny they got a court date for Michael’s (Chad Duell) divorce and custody hearing. Willow told Isaiah she had faith “If you truly want Sonny gone, Mayor Collins gotta be collateral damage” Drew told Tracy. Portia told Ava that Drew is putting more pressure on her. “Portia’s being blackmailed,” Curtis told Nina. Gio thanked Brook Lynn for sticking up for him with Lulu. Brook Lynn assured things would go back to normal. They got their coffee. Brook Lynn asked whether they’d see Cody and Lulu at the Nurses Ball, adding Gio was going to knock their socks off. Then, Gio and Brook Lynn left. “I rest my case,” Lulu said. “You should know Drew is making demands of Trina as well” Ava told Portia. Curtis told Nina the only thing that makes sense is that Drew has leverage over his wife. Isaiah asked Willow what is the ideal scenario for her and her children. Willow answered that in a perfect world Michael would understand children belong with their mother. “And Drew?” Isaiah asked. Drew told Tracy he had to get something clear on the terms for getting rid of Sonny. Carly told Sonny the court date for Michael’s divorce and custody hearing was June 2nd and she would handle it herself. “Well that’s a mistake” Sonny said. Gio and Brook Lynn returned to the Quartermaine mansion. Rocco thanked Gio for helping him. “None of this is your fault and I’m so sorry.” Ava told Brook Lynn how Drew’s cameraman followed Trina (Tabayna Ali) around with a camera. Portia commented that Trina is so good at getting people to do what he wants and convincing people it was their idea. Ava told Portia she had to change tactics and tell Curtis the truth. “I have a really bad feeling Curtis that this is going to end in disaster” Nina said. Isaiah was surprised Willow was going for sole custody. Carly told Sonny that Drew will be the reason Willow loses her kids. “Those kids are going to come home with me and they are going to stay with me until their loving father comes home” Carly told Sonny. Lulu told Cody everything in her gut is telling her she’s right about Gio being Brook Lynn’s son. She just needed to prove it. Rocco promised Gio he wouldn’t drink again until he was twenty-one. After Rocco left the room, Gio told Brook Lynn it was clear Dante didn’t like him. Drew tried to negotiate their deal. But Tracy said the only thing he would get for riding the town of Sonny was the Quartermaine name. For access to the Quartermaine grounds, Drew would have to talk with Monica (Leslie Charleson). Carly told Sonny the other thing that mattered was Michael’s kids being safe. Brook Lynn told Tracy today’s her baby’s birthday. “Gio’s so called mother Carmela…she’s the key” Lulu told Cody. Portia told Ava the moment she started giving in to Brad (Parry Shen) she made a choice and Curtis was never going to forgive him. Curtis told Nina she needed to find someone who had sway over Michael that he’ll listen to. “There may be one person,” Nina said. She thanked Curtis for listening to her, then left his office. Curtis called someone and said he needed to see them in his office. Sonny told Carly if Michael lost his children because of her “You could lose your own child.” Tracy told Brook Lynn that she spoke to Lulu and she’s dropping the adoption article. “So unless you choose. No one will know you gave a child up for adoption” Tracy told Brook Lynn. Lulu told Cody they needed to find out where Carmela was when Gio was born. Ava urged Brook Lynn to stop lying and digging herself deeper. “If Curtis finds out I’m lying to him again, my marriage is over” Portia told Ava, unaware Isaiah was outside her office door and heard the whole thing. Drew entered Curtis’ office after being summoned. “You’re blackmailing my wife,” Curtis said. Sonny came to see Willow and suggested between the two of them they come to a compromise that would keep the peace. Nina came to see Carly and told her this may be their last chance to stop Drew.
