A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

Ned (Wally Kurth) asked Tracy (Jane Eliott) if she knew why Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) called a family meeting. Olivia (Lisa LoCierco) commented something’s been off with Tracy. Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) reminded Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) that Rocco (Finn Carter) and Danny were good kids. Jason (Steve Burton). Brook Lynn suggested they all move on. Lulu (Alexa Havins) told Cody (Josh Kelly) she didn’t think Carmella was ever pregnant. Drew (Cameron Mathison) snidely remarked to Curtis (Donnell Turner) that in order for them to be blackmailed, Portia (Brooke Kerr) had to be doing something illegal, something that could cause a doctor her medical license. Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) told Sonny (Maurice Benar) she wouldn’t let Michael (Chad Duell) take her kids away from her. Nina (Cynthia Watros) questioned Carly (Laura Wright) about rushing to get the hearing on the calendar. Carly told Nina she was just protecting her grandchildren. “Well they’re my grandchildren too. And you’re not doing this,”Nina said. Drew hypothetically asked Curtis how a husband (and their daughter) would feel to learn his doctor wife changed a patient’s medical records to keep that patient in prison. Lulu told Cody that Carmella was touring the quartet in New Zealand when Gio was born, adding she had to find the other members of the quartet to get the truth. Gio (Giovanni Mazza) overheard everyone talking and apologized to Lois (Rena Sofer), Tracy, Olivia and Brook Lynn. He also told Lois she and Brook Lynn needed to stop making excuses for him. Dante told Sasha that Danny is a good kid “But he’s too much like Jason.” Sonny suggested Willow wait until Michael gets home and they both could deal with it. He also told her that Michael told him himself he didn’t want full custody. Nina asked Carly whether she’s just been keeping her distracted by pretending to work with her. Cody did a search of the lyrics from a song Gio once played and got information with a link of an obituary of two of the quartet members. Lulu said she needed to find a surviving member. Olivia comments Gio said it all. Gio thanked Lois and everyone for taking care of him but added “I’m not that little kid anymore. I can stand on my own.” Dante told Sasha that Danny needed boundaries “So Jason needs to step up the way a father should.” “Did I miss something?” Jason asked when he entered. Drew continued with his not so hypotheticals about the patient in question possibly getting an attorney like someone ruthless like Rick Lansing (Rick Hearst) and sued the doctor and her husband, which would bankrupt them. Sonny couldn’t believe Michael refused to see Willow when she went to Germany. ‘“You’re not a mother and you never will be,” Carly told Nina. Carly told Nina she treated Willow like she was a friend when she needed a mother. Carly said Willow had a rough upbringing “But she needs to thank her lucky stars that you didn’t raise her.” A processor server served Sasha. She read the court document and told Jason she was being called to testify in the case of Corinthos vs. Corinthos on June 2. Sasha asked Jason whether he thought Willow knew Michael was the baby’s father. Curtis reminded Drew no amount of good press would erase the photos of him all over that sex worker. “She doesn’t deserve those kids. And she doesn’t deserve to be a mother!” Carly said. Nina slapped her. “Don’t you ever hit me!” Carly said as a fight ensued. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) stopped Nina from hitting Carly with an astray. Before leaving, Nina vowed she wouldn’t let Carly take her kids. Drew told Curtis it would be a good position for Aurora to take to support Ezra Boyle (Daniel Goddard), vote against Measure C and do editorials about organized crime in Port Charles. Dante told his mother they’re not doing anything about the Rocco drinking situation, just talking about it. Gio told Lois he needed to be taking care of when he was young but could take care of himself now. Lulu received a call back and learned Carmella left and the New Zealand leg of the tour had to be cancelled in May 2003. She also learned Carmella wasn’t pregnant. Dante said he didn’t think Gio was trying to hurt Rocco. “I’m sure he’s in there trashing me to Olivia right now,” Gio told Lois. Josslyn asked Carly how she could schedule a court date when Michael was in Germany recovering. “You need to call Michael and tell him about the hearing” Josslyn told Carly. Sasha told Jason that Rick had another thing coming if he thought she’d trash Michael. Gio told Lois he and Dante just needed to stay away from each other. Olivia came out of the room and told Gio there’s something she needed to say to him. Willow said there was no compromise when she saw her mother’s face. After her daughter left, Nina told Sonny that Carly went too far this time. But Sonny said she was the one who may have cost Willow her kids. “So we’re gonna try not to worry about this,” Jason said. Sasha agreed that Rick had no reason to suspect Michael was the father of her baby. Sonny told Nina she messed up. Carly told Josslyn she was just concerned Michael would never forgive her if he lost custody of his kids. Olivia told Gio the only reason Dante was upset was because he sees himself in him. Lulu is emailed a photo of Carmella on the beach and it’s obvious she wasn’t pregnant.

Tuesday

Although they both refuse, Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Nina (Cynthia Watros) end up hosting the Red Carpet at the Nurses Ball. Tracy (Jane Eliott) told Ned (Wally Kurth) and Olivia (Lisa LoCierco) she didn’t want Lucy (Lynn Herring) and her underwear ruining her act. “If I’m right and Gio is Dante’s son, he deserves to know” Lulu (Alexa Havins) told Cody (Josh Kelly). She smiled when she entered the Quartermaine mansion and saw Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) in his tux. Alexis (Nancy Grahan) told Rick (Rick Hearst) to give it a rest because it’s the Nurses Ball when he came to her house with paperwork to help her cover up her embezzlement from the Cassadine trust. Drew said it looked like it was going to be a wild night when the first person to walk the Red Carpet, Mistress of Ceremonies Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) with a llama, Sebastian who was there to support llama rescue causes. Lucy thanked Drew and Nina for stepping up to host at the last minute and commented they make a glamorous couple. Next, Sonny (Maurice Benard) entered with Donna. Dante reminded Tracy of all the Sonny supporters when she insulted his father. Ned suggested Tracy ride with Chase (Josh Swickward) and Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) to the Nurses Ball to keep the peace. Carly (Laura Wright) was the next person to walk the Red Carpet. She and Drew exchanged non subtle barbs about Michael’s accident, him not being the intended victim and the importance of passing Measure C. Carly came out on top with her response about Councilman Ezra Boyle (Daniel Goddard) pushing Measure C for personal gain. Jordan (Tanisha Harper) walked the Red Carpet next with Jenz (Carlos Rota), who said he was happy to underwrite the event. Felicia (Kristina Wagner) arrived with Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) who escorted her because husband Mac (John J. York) was late. Kristina (Kate Mansi) found Rick with her mother and asked why every time she came over the slimeball was there. Ned and Olivia walked the Red Carpet. Ned made a comment about how he didn’t realize their family was so important to Drew. Curtis (Donnell Turner), Portia (Brooke Kerr) and Trina (Tabyana Ali) walked the Red Carpet. Trina was surprised to turn around to see Kai (Jens Austin Astrup), who told her that her Aunt Stella (Vernee Watson) talked with his doctor who gave him the all clear. Drew took the spotlight from Trina by explaining who Kai was. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) entered with Gio (Giovanni Mazza) and took a jab at Drew. Tracy wanted to walk the Red Carpet surrounded by Lulu and Brook Lynn. But Dante promised Rocco (Finn Carter) and Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) he’d walk it with their mother. And Brook Lynn wanted to walk in with her husband. But Chase got a call from Mac. “You want me to do want?!” Chase asked, shocked. After Rick left, Alexis told Kristina she needed to be nicer to Rick. Tracy walked the Red Carpet and took the microphone from Drew to talk about Measure C. Chase entered and arrested Tracy for drugging Drew. Dante commented to Lulu he hoped Chase wouldn’t have to use the taser. Portia noticed Curtis was quiet. Isaiah handed Portia a glass of champagne and said he was available if she ever needed to talk. Dante told Sonny about Tracy’s arrest and Sonny said it couldn’t have happened to a better person. Anna (Finola Hughes) walked the Red Carpet with Emma (Braedyn Bruner). She told Nina she didn’t know whether she’d perform as the lead singer of one of her acts was just led off in handcuffs and the other was the arresting officer. Emma said her mother Dr. Robin Scorpio-Drake (Kimberly McCullough) couldn’t make it but they would keep the spirit of the message. Alexis told Kristina she just thought it would be a good idea if she tried to get along with Rick. Cody admired Molly (Kristen Vaganos) in her red dress. He offered to escort her on the Red carpet. Alexis told Kristina that Rick wasn’t someone they could afford to piss off. Cody and Molly walked the Red Carpet. Cody said Molly almost prosecuted him a few times and part of his sentence was walking beautiful women down the Red Carpet. Mac told Chase to return to the Nurses Ball and tell Felicia he couldn’t make it. After Chase left, Mac told Tracy this would take awhile. Curtis told Jordan that Drew was definitely blackmailing Portia. Lucy, Anna and Felicia brainstormed who could perform the act in Tracy’s absence. Drew said they saved the best for last. He and Nina smiled when Willow appeared. “You look incredible” Drew told Willow then passionately kissed her. Alexis told Kristina she thought it would be much healthier for her if she let go of that anger. Alexis told Kristina she was trying to protect her. “Because if I don’t you and I are both going to prison” Alexis said, telling Kristina she knew she tried to kill Ava. Mac told Tracy that Drew remembered being with her that day and when they searched her car, they found a vial of ketamine. ‘I was set up,” Tracy realized. Ned thought something wasn’t right because if his mother had drugged Drew, she wouldn’t have been caught. A man aboard a plane watched coverage of the Red Carpet on his tablet as Willow announced wanting a future with Drew and their family.

Wednesday

Lucy (Lynn Herring) said all of their hard work paid off. “It’s showtime.” Alexis (Nancy Grahan) told Kristina (Kate Mansi) what she did can’t be undone and now they just have to cover it up. Lucy welcomed everyone to the 2025 Nurses Ball “And I promise you, this will be a night you’ll never forget.” In her opening speech, Lucy talked about the first Nurses Ball in 1994 and how their generous benefactor underwriting the entire ball makes it possible for all the money from donations and the silent auction to go directly back into the cause. She introduced the first act: The GH nurses. Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Nina (Cynthia Watros) smiled looking at Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) perform. Alexis told a shocked Kristina “They have evidence. They know what you did…and they can prove it.” She told Kristina that Ava (Maura West) and Rick (Rick Herast) had the car and hid it and were blackmailing her. Kai (Jens Austin Astrup) told Trina (Tabayana Ali) and Josslyn (Eden McCoy) he was glad he was there to see their performance. Josslyn spotted Willow and walked away. Chase (Josh Swickward) returned to The Metro Court for the Nurses Ball and assured Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) her grandmother could hold her own for a few hours at the station and would want her to enjoy herself. Josslyn cornered Willow in the ladies room and berated her for being there and hanging on Drew. Josslyn made a promise to Willow: “You will never take Michael’s children away from him.” Kai thanked Drew for everything he’s done for him. Drew told Kai that the documentary was going to be great for both of them. Sonny (Maurice Benard) approached ADA Turner, who commented it may be Sonny’s last Nurses Ball if Measure C is passed. Sonny vowed no one would run him out of Port Charles. Curtis (Donnell Turner) watched as Drew asked Portia (Brooke Kerr) to check on Willow in the ladies room for him. But Portia told Drew she wouldn’t answer to him tonight. Drew ended up knocking on the door and entering the ladies room himself. Josslyn made a snide remark about him being there looking for another woman. Or maybe another hooker. Then, Josslyn left. Lucy introduced Gio (Giovanni Mazza), who gave a powerful violin performance. Lois and Lulu (Alexa Havins) watched from backstage. Lulu watched Lois’ proud reaction. Gio got a standing ovation. Backstage, Lois congratulated Gio and told him how she and everyone from the old neighborhood was proud of him. Lulu asked to talk with Lois alone. But Lucy pulled Lois away. Brook Lynn asked Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) how Gio’s performance made him feel about him now. Kristina suggested they go to her dad for help with Ava and Rick. Lulu told Cody (Josh Swickward) how Dante watched his son perform but didn’t know it. Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) congratulated Jenz (Carlos Rota) for finally using his blood money for a good cause. Curtis confronted Portia about Drew’s blackmail. She explained how it started with Brad (Parry Shen) and she was handling it until Drew got involved and it became something more. Curtis told Portia she needed to tell him everything. Alexis told Kristina she couldn’t tell her father and had to do what she said. She told Kristina she was not only doing this for her but for Molly (Kristen Vaganos). Curtis reminded Portia how after the truth of Trina’s paternity came out she promised she’d never lie to him again. But not only has she lied to him again but she risks their family by doing it. Carly (Laura Wright) and Olivia (Lisa LoCierco) addressed the audience saying how proud they were to be the official venue for such a worthy cause. Carly introduced a surprise guest. Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) took to the stage with Anna (Finola Hughes), Felicia (Kristina Wagner) and Lucy as backup and they performed a version of “These Boots Were Made For Walking.” Kristina thanked Alexis for being an incredible mother and woman and told her she loved her. Curtis told Portia she ruined their marriage with her lies. Dante and Brook Lynn came up to Gio. Brook Lynn congratulated Gio while Dante just looked at him. Lulu pulled Lois aside. After commenting about Gio being Lois’ family and inheriting his musical talents from his mother, Lulu revealed she knew Carmella didn’t leave the tour because she was pregnant and that Gio was Dante’s son.

Thursday

Portia (Brooke Kerr) begged Curtis (Donnell Turner) not to walk away like this and think about their beautiful daughter Trina (Tabayana Ali), their family and everything they’ve built together. Curtis told Portia he couldn’t undue what she’s done. Nina (Cynthia Watros) cornered Carly (Laura Wright) in the ladies room and told her whatever happened was on her. Ned (Wally Kurth) thanked Sonny (Maurice Benard) for paying for Gio’s (Giovanni Mazza) musical training. He walked away when he saw Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen). “Don’t think for a second I’m going to let you get away with setting up my mother” Ned told Drew. Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) congratulated Gio on his performance. He and Cody (Josh Kelly) were pulled away by Lucy (Lynn Herring) to go backstage and get ready. Lulu (Alexa Havins) told Lois (Rena Sofer) she didn’t need to look so shocked that Gio was her grandson because she’s known all along. “You’ve been keeping the truth from him his entire life,” Lulu said. Curtis told Portia she broke them. But he wouldn’t walk away from her tonight because that would show Drew they weren’t an united front. “What about tomorrow?” Portia asked. “Let’s just get through tonight” Curtis answered and walked away. Ned and Olivia (Lisa LoCierco) berated Willow for standing by Drew. Nina told Carly it would be proven that Michael abandoned his children. “Carly, this looks bad for Michael…really bad” Nina said, adding their mother was the only parent that has been there for those children consistently. Emma (Braedyn Bruner) told Gio his performance was great. Lulu told Lois she knew it all and could prove it. Lucy introduced the next act: Chase (Josh Swickward) backed up by Dante, Cody and Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson)…”The Look of Love.” Lucy asked for a round of applause for Jenz Sidwell (Carlos Rota) for sponsoring the Nurses Ball. Gio was looking for his Aunt Lois because she had his headpiece. Lucy told him the last she saw Lois he was in the dressing room. Trina asked her parents where they were because they were missing the performances. Curtis told Trina she was the only performance they wanted to see. Then, he walked away on the pretense of getting Portia some champagne. After Kai and Trina walked away, Nina approached Portia, who told her Curtis knew everything and she was afraid of what he would do. Curtis told Jordan (Tanisha Harper) he was right about Drew blackmailing Portia. “Who’s your friend?” Carly asked when she saw Josslyn (Eden McCoy) talking with Vaughn (Bryce Durfee). Lulu told Lois all she knew, including Gio not being born in Los Angeles on June 2 but in San Francisco on May 15 “As Baby Boy Cerullo.” Vaughn lied that he and Josslyn knew each other from PCU. Lois told Lulu that Brook Lynn didn’t know Gio was her son and Lulu couldn’t tell her. Gio overheard Lulu saying he was Dante and Brook Lynn’s son. Lucy introduced the next act: YDE. Lulu warned Lois either she told them the truth tonight. “Or they will hear from me tomorrow.” Then, Lulu walked out of the room. ADA Turner interrupted Anna (Finola Hughes) and Sonny talking about Robin (Kimberly McCullough) and Stone. Isaiah told Jordan “You should be on my arm tonight.” Nina told Drew and Willow that Rick (Rick Hearst) called her about testifying on Willow’s behalf. “Going forward…you have my full support” Nina said. Emma was looking for Gio. Willow told Isaiah after his performance, this time next year he’d have a date for the Nurses Ball. “Gio, I’ve been looking all over for you. What’s wrong?” Emma asked when she saw the look on Gio’s face. Lulu cornered Cody and told him she confronted Lois and she admitted Gio is Dante’s son. “What are you two whispering about?” Dante asked. Lois told Brook Lynn they had to get out of there now. Anna and Chase told Lucy that Gio was missing. “Really, where is Gio?” Lucy asked. Gio told Emma he is a violinist, which he got from his mother. “I have to play. The show must go on” Gio said. Lucy was glad to see Gio. Cody lied Lulu was giving him a hard time for not giving Molly (Kristen Vaganos) her drink. Brook Lynn told Lois she wasn’t missing Anna and Chase’s tango with Gio playing. Lois came to Sonny and told him she was in trouble. Lucy introduced Anna and Chase’s tango and Gio’s accompaniment on the violin. He started playing but then stopped. He addressed the audience and told them he was going to do something he’s never done before: Dedicate this performance to his parents, Brook Lynn Quartermaine and Dante Falconieri who didn’t want him and gave him away. Shocked looks abounded from those in the audience. Gio broke his violin and ran out of the room.

Friday

Lucy (Lynn Herring) introduced Anna (Finola Hughes) and Chase’s (Josh Swickward) tango and Gio’s (Giovanni Mazza) accompaniment on the violin. He started playing but then stopped. He addressed the audience and told them he was going to do something he’s never done before: Dedicate this performance to his parents, Brook Lynn Quartermaine and Dante Falconieri who didn’t want him and gave him away. Shocked looks abounded from those in the audience. Gio broke his violin and ran out of the room. Lucas (Van Hansis) comes to the Webber house and brings champagne to Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) since she missed the Nurses Ball due to her broken leg. Lucy (Lynn Herring) rambles on stage as she tries to figure out what should be the next act given Anna and Chase’s aborted tango. Jason (Steve Burton) comes to PCPD to see Tracy (Jane Eliott). Tracy demands he get her out of jail. She fills Jason in on how Drew (Cameron Mathison) set her up. Jason tells Tracy it wasn’t a good idea to team up with Drew. Sonny (Maurice Benard) questions Olivia (Lisa LoCierco) about whether she knew Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) had a baby. Olivia and Ned (Wally Kurton) confirm they were unaware. Cody (Josh Kelly) takes Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) to a private room to tell him that he knew that Brook Lynn had Dante’s son. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) and Trina (Tabayana Ali) sympathize with Gio given how his life is unraveling given the paternity lie. Of course, Trina understands since she went through the same thing when she found out Curtis was her father. Lucy wants Josslyn and Trina to change into their costumes and go on stage early. Cody confirms that he drove Brook Lynn to the train station but assumed that she terminated her pregnancy. Cody tells Dante that he doesn’t know whether Brook Lynn knew that Gio was her son. Of course, Dante is having a hard time processing the fact that the little boy he saw during Fourth of July fireworks and on other occasions is actually his son. Elizabeth is watching the Nurses Ball on TV. Elizabeth tells Lucas that she is with the nurses in spirit. Lucas gifted Elizabeth with a paper tiara. He tells Elizabeth that he doesn’t have a paper tiara for Lucky. Anna has worked her magic: A judge signs off on Tracy’s bail. Mac (John J. York) tells Tracy to get a move on before he charges her with harassment because she is getting on his nerves. Tracy doesn’t have a ride. Mac tells her that the police department isn’t a taxi service. Mac says that since a bus stop is nearby she should take a bus. Lulu (Alexa Havins) admits to Carly (Laura Wright) maybe Gio overheard when Lulu was confronting Lois (Rena Sofer). Carly tells Lulu that she has caused enough trouble and she needs to stay out of things now. Meanwhile, Dante questions Sonny on whether he knew about Gio. Sonny assures his son that he didn’t know about Gio. Olivia can’t believe that Lois never told them that they shared a grandson. Dante wants to find Brooklyn. Sonny tells Chase that he needs to let Brooklyn and Chase hash things out. Josslyn and Trina sing a duet. Elizabeth and Lucas reminisce about the proposals they received at The Nurses’ Ball. Lucas is wistful that he can’t witness Wiley performing with the other children at The Nurses’ Ball. Portia, Curtis and Kai compliment Trina on her Nurses’ Ball duet. Kai and Trina kiss. Carly compliments Josslyn on her performance. Drew and Willow approach Carly about finding common ground over the custody battle. Sonny is surprisingly calm and rationale given the Gio paternity bombshell. Sonny tells Olivia, Ned and Chase that they need to let Dante and Brooklyn work things out about Gio’s paternity. Ned is a bit crestfallen that Brooklyn never told him about her pregnancy, but admits to Chase that he is grateful that she confided the truth to her husband. Ned is upset that he couldn’t help Brooklyn deal with pregnancy and labor. Chase thinks that Brooklyn didn’t want to hurt Ned. Ned wonders whether that was what Brooklyn thought or was it what Lois wanted her to think. Carly wants Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) to speak for herself about the custody arrangement and not let Drew suggest a custody arrangement where Willow gets primary custody while Michael gets two week summers especially since Drew and Willow are considering moving the children to Washington, DC. Lucy tells the assembled Port Charles citizens that they broke their fundraising records. Elizabeth fills Lucas in that the Quartermaines have a new family member. Donna, Wiley, Georgie, Scout and James close out The Nurses’ Ball by performing “I’ll Be There.” Michael (New being played by Rory Gibson) makes a surprise return at the Nurses Ball. Wiley rushes into his father’s arms and Michael says he’s taking him home.
